Overview
The Sanyo VTC-5350 is the PAL/Secam version of the 5300 which was the predecessor to the mass selling VTC-5000. It was mainly sold in the Middle East and it could operate on 110-127V or 220-240V. However it is not as nice a machine as the VTC-5000. The mechanism uses many more mechanical levers and belts for the mechanism which makes the VCR bigger and heavier than its successor. There was a companion model the VTC-5400 which was identical to the VTC-5300 but with additional picture search and audio dub facilities. Unlike the VTC-5000 this VCR retains the tape threaded at all times, like the Sony machines.
Cosmetically it is a stylish looking top loader for its time.
